Carnival Cruises' Carnival VIsta is Loaded On The Floating Drydock for Azipod Repairs.

Two videos have been released showing the positioning of the Carnival Vista on the floating drydock - Bokis Vanguard off the coast of the Bahamas. The 135,000 ton cruise ship was gently moved into position on the submerged drydock on July 12/13th. After being secured in place, water was pumped out of the floating drydock raising the Carnival Vista out of the water.

Repairs to the ships' azipods will occur over the next 2 weeks, after which  the ship will be removed from the drydock. After floating again the Carnival Vista will return to Galveston, Texas on 7-27-2019 to resume her 7-day cruise program.

The Carnival Vista is a new ship which entered the Carnival Fleet in 2016, but has been plagued with power and propulsion issues over the past 4 weeks. The current repairs should resolve the above stated issues. .
