Albatros Expeditions Expands Fleet to 2 Ships.Al

Albatros Expeditions has confirmed plans to add a second SunStone Infinity-class expedition cruise vessel to its fleet in 2022. The new ship is to be named the Ocean Albatros.

The Ocean Albatros will operate in both Antarctica and the Arctic and on cruises between these core expedition areas.

The new vessel, the 186-guest Ocean Albatros will operate along side the new Ocean Victory, that will operate seasonally by Albatros Expeditions in Antarctica from December 2020. During the summer months the Ocean Victory will sail for Victory Cruise Line in Alaska.

Portuguese based Mystic Cruises is said to be opening their United States operations in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The small ship, luxury exploration cruise line currently has 1 ship in operation - the World Explorer. Another ship under construction, World Navigator and another three ships expected. Mystic Cruises is using a combined operating principles including operating the ships under the Mystic Brand and chartering them out for the remainder of the time.
