Askua Cruise Line's Asuka II to Undergo a Major Refit in Singapore Januray 2020


Japan's Asuka Cruise (Part of NYK Line) has announced that the Asuka II will undergo a 45-day refit in Singapore. The enhancements will include a new exhaust gas cleaning system as well as major interior upgrade.

The 29 year old ship is scheduled to enter dry-dock mid-January where work will commence immediately. In addition to the newly installed exhaust system, all restaurants will be renovated, including the ocean facing private tables for suite passengers, installation of open air baths and the remodeling of the ship's staterooms.

Construction of Princess Cruise's Sky Princess Entering the Final Stages.

The countdown has started for the delivery of Princess Cruise's newest cruise ship the  Sky Princess. The Sky Princess is expected to depart from Italy's  Fincantieri shipyard on October 12, 2019. The Sky Princess will offer cruises from a choice of three ports - Athens, Greece;  Barcelona Spain and Rome, Italy sailing throughout the Mediterranean.  The Sky Princess's inaugural cruise is scheduled to depart Athens on October 20, 2019, for a seven-day cruise in the Mediterranean and Adriatic.
